1inch in 2025: Solana. Rebrand. Reinventing liquidity.

2025 was a lot. Let’s take a look back at what made this 1inch’s biggest year yet. 

Aqua

Let’s start with the big one. 

DeFi liquidity is broken. 1inch Aqua is here to fix it. Aqua is a shared liquidity layer that promises to transform capital utilization. We released to developers in November - with the full release coming in 2026.

Aqua lets users deploy liquidity across multiple strategies at once while keeping funds in their wallet. The result? Say goodbye to idle locked funds. 

Oh - and 6 days after the announcement, a project built on Aqua took one of the top ten bounties at ETHGlobal Buenos Aires. Nice work, Aqua0.

A new look

You’ve noticed, of course. 1inch looks… different. In October, we launched our new visual identity.  Why?

DeFi is maturing. And as we work to bring the world onchain, we’re focusing on the core values that make our products and infrastructure the best choice to build the future of finance. That means simple, reliable efficiency, and a more understated identity that lets our users and partners take the stage. However you want to shape your financial future - we’re here with all the tools you need.

The unicorn’s still there if you look, though. Just like our original, hackathon spirit.

Solana support

We integrated 4 new networks - but this was the big news.We built the first trustless cross-chain swaps between Solana and EVM. So you can now access Solana tokens across our products, and move your assets safely on and off this fast-growing blockchain.

The global 1inch hackathon

First and foremost, we’re still builders - and builders are our community.

So in July, we teamed up with our old friends at ETHGlobal to launch the Unite DeFi online hackathon. 1120 hackers competed for a massive $525,000 in bounties.

More chain integrations

We added three more EVM networks, integrating Linea, Sonic and Unichain.  

Because interoperability is the basis of the DeFi future. One ecosystem, working together. Speaking of which…

Partnerships

DeFi is built on integration - and 1inch’s mission is to unite it. In 2025, we continued to build our partnerships with major players across DeFi and beyond, including Ledger, Safe Wallet, Coinbase, Barter, HashPort, Innerworks, Flowdesk and Rango Exchange.

Events

Jetlag? Whatever. DeFi’s global - so we are, too.In 2025, we hit up events on five continents - from the World Economic Forum in Davos, where we hosted our own side conference, to ETHGlobal Taipei; and from our own Unite DeFi conference alongside TOKEN2049, to DevConnect Argentina. 

The year in numbers

Last but not least - we kept powering the best swaps in DeFi. 115 million of them, to be precise. Keep them coming.
