Swap networks’ native tokens in one step
This feature comes as a major UX improvement, enabling users to directly swap networks’ native currencies in a one-step flow - faster, safer and simpler.
At 1inch, every new feature is built to cut friction and boost efficiency. The rollout of networks’ native currency swaps marks another big step toward making crypto swapping as smooth and intuitive as possible.
From now on, you can swap a network’s native tokens - like ETH on Ethereum or POL on Polygon - into any other coin in a single step using 1inch’s intent-based or cross-chain functionality. No manual wrapping, no juggling multiple approvals. Just one confirmation, and your swap is done.
Less complexity, more efficiency
Previously, the experience was anything but seamless. To trade with ETH, for example, users had to wrap their tokens first, complete the swap and sometimes even unwrap ETH again if an order expired or got canceled. Those extra steps slowed things down and created unnecessary pain points.

The new flow eliminates all that. By removing the wrapping stage, intent-based and cross-chain swaps with networks’ native tokens are now faster and easier. Users save time, avoid redundant steps and enjoy a much cleaner experience.

What’s in it for users?
The new feature enabling intent-based and cross-chain swaps with networks’ native tokens is designed to save time and cut complexity, while keeping users’ funds safe:
- One-step UX: sign a single transaction instead of juggling multiple approvals.
- Automated cleanup: if a swap doesn’t execute, professional resolvers step in to return funds securely.
How did we do it?
1inch’s solution is built on the NativeOrderFactory extension. This extension establishes a proxy system that wraps a network’s native currency - for example, ETH into WETH (Wrapped ETH) - while maintaining full compatibility with the existing limit order infrastructure. As a result, all wrapping and unwrapping transactions run seamlessly in the background, so users never have to deal directly with wrapped tokens.
You can learn more about the technical implementation of the NativeOrderFactory extension here.
With networks’ native token swaps, 1inch brings you the most streamlined path yet from intent to execution - because in DeFi, every second counts.
The new feature is already available in the 1inch dApp and will be soon added to 1inch Wallet.
Meanwhile, other projects can also benefit from this improvement as it’s also included in the 1inch Swap API, available via 1inch Business.
