1inch in February: focus on security, Alvara integration
February focused on security. In collaboration with our partners, we produced several materials that will help our users stay safe in DeFi. We also launched a partnership with Alvara and attended Web3 Circle Hong Kong and ETHDenver.
Updates, news and integrations
DeFi unlocks many opportunities, but it also comes with hidden pitfalls. At 1inch, our mission is to ensure that users’ DeFi journey is always smooth and secure. With that in mind, we partnered with PhishFort to develop a comprehensive guide on staying safe in DeFi, covering every angle - from phishing campaigns to fake ads. Check out the full guide here.
To further the security conversation, Alexandra Gulamova and Igor Gulamov from Savant.Chat, a security firm specializing in AI-powered audits, joined 1inch Chief Information Officer Ilya Naryzhnyy to discuss how AI is transforming both attacks and defenses - and why continuous auditing has emerged as the new standard in DeFi. Read the full conversation on our LinkedIn account.
At the same time, there are cases where standard security precautions prove insufficient and a user still becomes a target of malicious actors. That is what happened to “David,” an experienced developer and long-time crypto user whose cold wallet was compromised after installing what looked like a routine software update. The attack was later linked to DPRK-associated actors. We told his story in collaboration with security firm zeroShadow here.
Also in February, we announced a partnership with Alvara, the creator of the ERC-7621 Basket Token Standard, to facilitate token diversity in on-chain portfolio management. Alvara recently launched its Liquidity Expansion Layer (LEL), integrating 1inch’s Swap API to unlock deep, multi-venue liquidity for basket token creation and management.
Events
On February 9, 1inch joined P2P.org, BitGo, Canton, EDX and dtcpay to sponsor Web3 Circle Hong Kong, an invitation-only institutional gathering in Hong Kong.
From Hong Kong 1inch headed to Denver, where ETHDenver was held February 17-21, bringing together builders, founders and leaders redefining blockchain.
Tanner Moore, 1inch’s Head of Developer Relations, spoke at two events, the Scaling Summit: House of AI, and the Blockchain Application Stanford Summit (BASS), which 1inch also co-sponsored.

Stay safe in DeFi with 1inch

How one Zoom update drained millions in crypto
It was all routine. A media outlet wanted an interview with David, an experienced software developer and crypto miner. He’d already met the interviewer at a conference, so he knew it was legit. A Zoom was scheduled.
