Ten years of Ethereum. A legacy of innovation, decentralization and unstoppable momentum. And tomorrow, July 30, we’re marking the moment where it all began at the 1inch Dubai HQ, alongside our community of builders, dreamers and Ethereum believers.

Honoring the chain that started it all

On July 30, 2015, Ethereum’s genesis block was mined, setting off a technological revolution that redefined finance, ownership and programmability. Ten years later, ETHGlobal is commemorating this milestone with events across the world, and 1inch is proud to co-host the official Dubai celebration at our local headquarters.

This isn’t just a party. It’s a recognition of how far we’ve come and the community that made it possible.

A full-circle moment for 1inch

For 1inch, this anniversary is deeply personal. Our story began within the Ethereum ecosystem. In 2019, Sergej Kunz and Anton Bukov built the prototype of the 1inch DEX aggregator during an ETHGlobal hackathon. What started as an experiment on Ethereum became a powerful DeFi gateway used by millions today.

Since then, 1inch has stayed deeply committed to Ethereum’s growth by supporting developers, sponsoring hackathons and helping push the boundaries of decentralized finance.
